Warrior Week Partners Program

Finding Your Mission

Our mission at Camp Southern Ground is to provide extraordinary experiences for children and veterans to recognize and magnify the unique gifts within themselves and others in order to profoundly impact the world. Our veterans have operated under the highest of callings to serve and protect the freedoms of the American people. We recognize the challenge veterans can face leaving service and finding a new mission for themselves. Warrior Week provides veterans with the self-discovery tools they need along with personal evaluations to find answers on how they contribute best in relationships, work environments and the family after they get home.

What is Warrior Week?

Warrior Week is a non-therapy based program designed for post 9/11 veterans, reserve and active duty service members to help them find their new mission after military service. Warrior Week enables your veteran team to identify their unique strengths, define their purpose after military life and walk them through the development of a custom designed life plan that will set them on the course towards how they define success.

What happens at Warrior Week?

Warrior Week is a 5-day retreat that provides your unique group of veterans with a holistic approach to growth and discovery. It’s a place for your organization’s veteran guests to find a support network of peers and mentors who will walk with them over the next year of their journey to assist them in finding their new mission in life. At Warrior Week we engage your group in team building exercises on the high and low ropes course, eat amazing food together, hear from world-class instructors that train on Clifton Strengths and Enneagram assessments, and spend time writing down a comprehensive plan that will get them where they want to go next. We also use the week to help your veterans get connected to the massive veteran support network that exists in the non-profit sector. All of this instruction and support will serve to help your veteran class develop their new mission. We see this mission in three parts.

Discover your Strengths

We use the Clifton Strengths Assessment to identify the unique strengths blend of each veteran. This tool allows veterans to understand the best parts of their makeup and to maximize those traits to contribute their best at work, home or hobbies.

Define your Purpose

Everyone is pursuing something most of us struggle to identify, our "why". We give veterans the time and training to ask themselves the tough questions that allow them to pursue goals that are aligned with their values and to find the passion needed to see those goals to completion.

Develop Your Life Plan

This is the core outcome for Warrior Week. An all-inclusive plan that plots specific markers to see development in their lives professionally, relationally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We challenge veterans to live according to the truth that the only thing we can control is ourselves. The life plan is a focused way for us to help veterans exercise self-leadership and to develop a system of accountability going forward from the program.
