On Friday, December 2nd Zac and Shelly Brown hosted a Camp Southern Ground benefit at the Buckhead estate of Stacey and Don Leebern III in Atlanta, Georgia.
“This first annual event in Atlanta went a long way to create awareness among so many philanthropists who have generous hearts and a desire to help children and military families. We were blessed to have raised $1.3 million, far exceeding our stretch goal for the event,” stated Camp Southern Ground’s CEO, Mike Dobbs.
Guests at the event were treated to a VIP tasting of Z. Alexander Brown wine, a live auction benefiting Camp Southern Ground, dinner by Southern Ground Executive Chef Rusty Hamlin and a private show by three-time GRAMMY winners and multi-platinum artists Zac Brown Band. Arthur Blank, Chairman of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, and his wife Angie were on hand to introduce the band to the 130 guests in attendance for the evening.
“Camp Southern Ground received a huge outpouring of love on December 2nd and it’s with that support that we were able to raise funds needed to continue to build our campus. We aim to have Camp Southern Ground out live all of us and with the success of this evening that we can continue to work towards that. We hope for many more successful events like this and Shelly and I want to thank everyone who came out in support of Camp Southern Ground, it means the world to us to be able to share our passion with as many people as we can, “said Zac.
